Happy 1 Month Birthday!

It's hard to believe that a month has already passed since Lilly arrived. In some ways it seems as though time has flown by, and in other ways we can't remember life before she came. She went to see Dr. Berg today and to use his words, "she's perfect!" Lilly weighed in at 9 lbs. even and is 21 inches long. The nurse who took these measurements said the numbers are great and Dr. Berg was very pleased. The only tough part of the visit was that she had to get her second Hepatitis B shot, and she did NOT like that at all! Lilly hardly every REALLY cries, but boy did she after that! Plus it was feeding time, so she was wailing pretty good, probably the worst since she was born. But a bottle quickly cured her and she was sound asleep once we got on the road home.

I am also happy to report that she has developed a pretty good schedule of feedings around every 3-4 hours and her sleep patterns at night are a bit longer - going 3.5 to 5.5 hours at a clip. Needless to say I am thrilled about that! It has made me feel a little better since I am getting more sleep. It's allowed me to finally start to feel good again, and having lost 28 lbs. of my pregnancy weight already, now I'm ready to start exercising to lose the last 13 lbs. - plus more.

Just a question to anyone who has kids...anyone know a cure for baby hiccups? She gets them all the time!

Here are some pics I took today to celebrate the completion of 1 month.
